General Info
[attr="class","maintext"]
Gemstones are living, breathing, embodiments of what they are made up of through and through, a gemstone. Crack one open and you’ll find that they are a gemstone beneath the deceiving look of skin and flesh. Some are weak and easily breakable, while others are strong and hard to shatter. When you shatter a gemstone, yes they fall into many pieces, but if you can gather enough pieces and place them back together again, they can regenerate many broken pieces over time. However, they cannot regenerate entire limbs or large chunks of their head or torso. Losing pieces of their head also causes them to lose pieces of their memories, if the pieces are not all retrieved. Weaker gemstones can be easily cracked by harsh blows or even, if they’re weak enough, extremely loud noises and stress. Stronger gemstones can withstand much stress and pressure, often being the ones that carve out metals from the earth for the humans to make weapons with and the ones to fight the Sunspot armies.
[break][break]
Gemstones all in all, are tough and hard to destroy, which is probably why the Sunspot armies wish to shatter them and take their pieces away. Other abilities gemstones have are increased strength, speed, and flexibility, making them expert fighters if trained well. Gemstones don’t all have to fight, for gemstones have a variety of interests themselves, it’s just an option that they can.

Here on Diamant, we don’t want all of our gemstones to fight! Sure, we need some to battle off the Sunspots, but gemstones deserve to be seamstresses, or bookstore owners, or even black smiths! Make sure to look into the gemstone you desire for your character to be based after and the hardness it is on the Mohs Scale; 10 being the hardest and 1 the weakest. Gemstones can only be one stone at the moment, mixing stones and metals with your stone is not allowed at the moment. Special abilities outside of the typical gemstone abilities are not allowed at this moment but may be considered in the future.

Something to note is that there are many copies of gemstones, and so to make things simpler, the gemstones have started to take on nicknames. Whether it be a shortening of their gemstone name or an actual human name, gemstones have been trying to fit in where they can now and make their own lives easier.
